The D Hotel sits on the banks of the River Boyne in Drogheda town centre. It offers luxurious rooms with plasma-screen TVs, a waterfront restaurant and a mini-gym.

Comfortable hotel within walking distance of everything in the town centre. Offered a lovely breakfast and has a pleasant bar/restaurant attached to it. Perfect for a 1-2 night stay in Drogheda.

Satisfactory other than in connection with the car parking arrangements

The reception staff on the evening we arrived while doing their best were hampered by their poor command of English which made communication somewhat difficult also the car parking arrangements were not very good. It was a wet evening and the car park was full which meant we had a long walk to the hotel. This coupled with my somewhat diminished mobility was less than enjoyable.

The gentleman who served us at breakfast Jemist was fantastic and really made us welcome, the reception staff not helpful at all. My company used this hotel many times before the room I had was awful and in need of updating the mattress was worn out I could feel the springs, the second night I asked for a mattress topper I could still feel the springs, same with the pillows very flat and old, radiator was very on full and could not turn it down, no space in bathroom for your toiletries, plug sockets were in ridiculous places, mirror in the room was too high and too small. Also the young girl in hops was a delight

I liked the bar - and food was quite good I found bar and restaurant staff very friendly Location was good Nice View! Nice big room Nice and quite

Bed was very squeeky ( I was only sleeping in it!) Shower/taps fawlty Television only had a few working channels Reception book in staff not particularly friendly - but not unpleasant or rude - she just went through the motions of booking me in and seemed disinterested- for example she told me I had room only and when I checked my booking the following day I could clearly see I had payed for breakfast Other colleagues booked in via other websites and got the price considerably cheaper - I booked through hotel and paid more than anyone We had to pay additional for parking! Oh and I found it annoying there were very limited sockets in the room - I was working and needed sockets for laptops, phones etc

I liked the location of the hotel and the bed was extremely comfortable

The receptionist and manager were extremely rude and unhelpful upon arrival at the hotel... The view from our window was terrible looking out at graffiti on the town walls... The windows in the room we're extremely dirty and looked as if they weren't cleaned in years... The white bathroom towel had black stains on it... The TV was basic with about 9 free view channels... Very dissapointing stay

I should have been refunded 44 euro from my 59 euro deposit...

I should have been refunded 44 euro from my 59 euro deposit as I paid 6 euro overnight parking. So 50 euro was taken from my account. The following day 44 was taken from my account instead of being up in. So now I’m down 94 euro but when I contacted you’re accounts I was told I’m only getting 88 euro back. How is this ? I would like itvresolved asap

The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet

the check in process was quite long and the parking process was quite convoluted. There was a 3 euro supplement if you decided to have a breakfast on the day

The location is great, rooms spacious and comfortable. I think it's a pity about the bar theme layout. Not very nice for hotel guests if that is not their scene.

Lovely reception staff, terrible service in bar/restaurant. Food was good but I had to get up 3 times to ask to order food, drinks and a steak knife which should have been a very easy going experience. Took the good out of what was a delicious meal. I noticed other tables having to get up also to ask for service, I did give feedback and was told lack of staff. There was 2 managers, and 2 bar while I was there. One manager did some work, another chatted with a bar patron, went for a break and came back. I didn't observe any work... It was a quiet night, not busy for food or bar.

Expensive for the quality of service we received, we would not recommend or stay in the future

The beds were comfortable. The second room we moved into had a bar fridge. Bathroom had good bench space, lighting was good. Large mirror. Flow of water was good as was heating in the room and free wifi. Heating was broken but fixed promptly. Proximity to cafes, Restaurants and city centre was great. Walkable to most places. Overall clean and tidy. Clean towels each day.

Three days of calling the hotel to find out the check in time with no reply despite. leaving name and number to be called back. Called everyday till check in but still no response. No option to check in online. First room - bathroom had no bench space near the sink, no Bar Fridge. Reception would not answer room service calls during our stay. Phone rang out. We had walk to reception to get service. No free parking charged €6 euro a day - is expensive considering daily room rate charged. No compensation offered for having to move rooms and poor facilities in first room. Requested to speak to Manager who was not available and never called back. Indicated it was 4 star. Succeeded to disappoint

It was easy to walk into central town. Staff were friendly.

Unsure about car parking. Turned out ok once explained. Turned wrong way out of hotel for town. Again ok once we got our bearing.
